Privacy Policy
Last updated July 2026. Plain-language summary: for now, everything stays on your device. Nothing is collected, stored on a server, or shared without your permission.
What we collect
BlindBear Labs and its current projects, including Hephaestus, are built so that data you enter or that's recorded through a connected device stays on that device. We don't currently operate servers that collect, transmit, or store your personal data.
Sharing
We don't share, sell, or transmit your data to anyone. If a future version of a project ever needs to send data off your device — for example, to sync across devices or contribute to research — we'll ask for your permission first and explain clearly what that involves before it happens.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
Changes to this policy
If how we handle data changes — including if a project starts collecting or storing data remotely — we'll update this page and note the date at the top.
